Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Darin Mangnall worked for five years as a prosecutor for the Eighteenth Judicial District While in County Court, Darin handled countless cases, including thousands of DUI's and other misdemeanor offenses including domestic violence, child abuse, drug crimes and assault. He became a supervisor responsible for the training of younger District Attorneys and for making the daily management decisions for the county courts in both Aurora and Douglas Counties.
As a District Attorney, Darin went to trial on about one hundred (100) different cases, including numerous DUI cases. While prosecuting felony cases in District Court, Darin worked in the juvenile justice system for approximately eighteen months developing an expertise in that area of law. During that time and later while prosecuting adult felony crimes Darin's case load included drug cases, assault, theft, identity theft, vehicular assault, sex assault cases and attempted murder cases.
With an academic scholarship, Darin was an all conference linebacker at Occidental College. After graduating with honors, he again graduated from University of Denver Law School in 2000.
Subsequent to joining the firm, Darin has fought hard on a daily basis to protect the right of our clients. He has successfully defended hundreds of DUI's, assaults, thefts, identity thefts, menacing, domestic violence and drug cases at both the misdemeanor and felony level. One of his first cases here was a complex federal drug prosecution; Darin's client received the best outcome of the thirty different co-defendants. He also co-counseled the defense of a murder suspect, and charges were not filed. He has been very successful in keeping his felony clients from serving any prison time as well as keeping people charged with misdemeanors out of jail.
He has aggressively pursued justice at every level of the justice system achieving a 66% success rate appealing bad Department of Motor Vehicle rulings. In short, Darin knows when to talk and when to fight, and he is very good at both.
